These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of cargranth.com and related services operated by CAR GRANTH Technologies Private Limited. By creating an account, making an enquiry or paying a booking amount, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy.
Who can use CAR GRANTH
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.
Dealers and sellers must provide accurate business and identity details and keep them up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity on your account.
Our role as a marketplace
CAR GRANTH lists new and used vehicles offered by authorised dealers and verified sellers, and helps you compare, enquire, book test drives and arrange finance. We are not the seller of any vehicle unless a listing clearly says so. The sale contract, invoice, delivery and warranty are between you and the seller.
We act as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and follow the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, including displaying seller details and handling grievances.
Listings, prices and offers
Ex-showroom and on-road prices are indicative and may change with manufacturer revisions, taxes, insurance and registration charges.
Offers and discounts are provided by manufacturers or dealers and may have conditions, stock limits or end dates.
Used-car details such as kilometres driven, ownership and service history are declared by the seller. Our inspection report, where available, reflects the car's condition on the inspection date.
EMI figures are estimates. The final loan terms are decided by the lender.
Bookings and payments
A booking amount reserves a vehicle or variant for the period shown at checkout. It is adjusted against the final price when you buy.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store card or bank details.
A booking is confirmed only after you receive a confirmation email or SMS with a booking reference.
Cancellations and refunds follow our Refund Policy.
Seller responsibilities
Dealers and sellers agree to:
List only vehicles they own or are authorised to sell, with accurate photos, specifications and prices.
Disclose accidents, flood damage, pending loans (hypothecation) and legal issues on used vehicles.
Honour confirmed bookings and quoted offers, or refund the customer promptly.
Hold valid registrations, trade certificates and GST registration where required.
Prohibited use
Posting false, misleading or duplicate listings, or impersonating another person or business.
Scraping, copying or reselling our content or listings without written permission.
Attempting to access other users' accounts, bypass security or upload malicious files.
Using the platform for any unlawful purpose, including the sale of stolen vehicles.
We may remove content, suspend accounts or report activity to authorities when these rules are broken.
Intellectual property
The CAR GRANTH name, logo, design and editorial content belong to us or our licensors. Vehicle brand names and logos belong to their respective owners. Sellers grant us a licence to display the photos and content they upload for the purpose of their listings.
Limitation of liability
We work hard to keep information accurate, but the platform is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, CAR GRANTH is not liable for the condition, title, delivery or performance of any vehicle, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in question.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact our Grievance Officer first — most issues are resolved quickly. Any unresolved dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after the "Last updated" date means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes are emailed to registered users in advance.
